Programs

Analogue World
In an increasingly digital world, this program provides rare hands-on training in traditional analogue recording techniques. Participants learn to work with tape machines, tube microphones, outboard gear, and classic signal paths—experiencing the craft of recording as it has been practiced for generations. Through guided sessions in our fully equipped analogue studio, students gain an understanding of the technical, historical, and artistic significance of analogue sound. The program preserves knowledge of these methods while teaching emerging engineers and musicians how to apply them in modern creative work.

Musical Horizons
This program offers young people their first window into the world of professional music-making. Through introductory workshops, hands-on seminars, and guided studio experiences, participants gain early exposure to the tools, language, and creative possibilities of recording. Designed as a gateway into our deeper youth programs, Musical Horizons helps students discover their creative interests, build confidence, and understand that a career in music and audio is within reach.

Youth Chamber Recording Program
This program expands access to professional recording opportunities for young classical musicians from underrepresented backgrounds. We provide high-quality audition recordings, engineering support, and dedicated studio time to help emerging artists prepare competitive materials for conservatory applications, summer festivals, competitions, and scholarship programs.

Celebrating Community Through The Arts
We collaborate with community organizations to produce high-quality recordings for local theater productions, fundraisers, and arts initiatives—making professional studio resources accessible to projects that enrich and serve our region.

Archival Preservation
This program preserves culturally significant audio by caring for aging recordings and transferring them into formats that can be safely kept and shared. Our goal is to help communities protect their musical and historical recordings so they remain accessible for future generations.

Note by Note
Note by Note is a bi-annual artist development program that supports young musicians from underrepresented communities as they create an original album from concept to completion. Through songwriting support, guided production sessions, and access to world-class studio resources, participants produce a high-quality recording that they fully own. The program culminates in a final concert where artists present their work to the community. Application Deadlines: February 1 and July 1.

Indigenous Music Intensive
The Indigenous Music Intensive is an annual recording session dedicated to documenting and celebrating Indigenous musical traditions. Working directly with Indigenous artists and culture bearers, we record and preserve their music in a respectful, collaborative environment. The final works are shared to help build cultural awareness and honor the beauty and diversity of Indigenous sound.

Studio Skills
The Studio Skills program is a once-a-year introductory training designed to give participants a clear, hands-on understanding of the recording studio. Through guided exercises and beginner-friendly equipment setups, participants gain foundational skills, exposure to studio workflows, and insight into the creative and technical sides of recording. Application Deadline: February 15

Music Makers
Music Makers is an immersive program that gives emerging artists hands-on experience in music production. Participants work directly in the studio, assisting with engineering tasks, exploring recording tools, and contributing to real projects. The program also supports and enhances our other youth initiatives, giving students a practical environment to apply the skills they develop across the foundation.
